FAQs

What is the Archangel Project?

The Archangel Project is a multi-phase internet film project that is not affiliated with any television studio or network.

Multi-phase?

Yes. One of the main drawbacks in such a project is the lack of funds for marketing, so a way had to be devised to get the word out. Five phases were developed:

1. Two trailers. One that showcases the quality of the prosthetic makeup we have access to and one that will reveal Archangel's main cast. Free to view on this website and sites like youtube, but no download option.

2. Three vignettes (short films running with running times in the 10-15 minute range). Besides introducing our leads, they will all be connected by being different parts of the same story. They will be free to view or download on this site as the violence will be to excessive for family-friendly sites like youtube.

3. Media awareness. Get the publicity out for the project. Radio and television talk shows as well as science fiction and fantasy conventions.

4. Two more vignettes. To wrap up the story began in the first three vignettes as well to set the stage for the movie. Viewing option is the same as that for phase 2.

5. The movie. Whether it will be a stand-alone project or a 'pilot' will depend on it's reception and revenue generated.

So it's for profit?

Yes. While you will be able to view it for free online, it will be downloadable as an .iso file and also available as a 2-disk 'special edition' dvd. Both of which will be available for a nominal charge.

Is it family-friendly?

No. Due to violence, language, and sexual content, it is directed at a mature audience.

How is this being paid for?

Out of pocket. Fortunately the majority of the team, all professionals with screen credit, have been willing to sacrifice a significant portion of their front end pay for a percentage of the back-end. Also, once we get the first trailer online, we will be opening a store.

Can I be in this movie?

All extras will be hired locally. All actors will have to be members of ACTRA (Canada) or SAG (USA). We are also looking at the possibility of opening parts for actors who are members of The Equity (UK).
